Introducing The Closet 🌈

The goal of this program is simple: when members of the community have need new clothing to match their gender identity or a few new items to spruce up their already fabulous wardrobe, The Closet is here.

Located in the SEIPF office in Station Square, The Closet offers a safe and supportive space to explore wardrobe items to match your gender expression. From casual clothing to professional attire, SEIPF is designing a space where anyone can come and explore their style in comfort. LGBTQ+ community members are then able to take home these gently loved pieces -- for free.

LGBTQ+ people can have a complicated relationship with closets - so much coming out! Now, you can come out on your terms, on your time, and - most importantly - comfortable in your own skin.

Like new and specific donations accepted during these hours only.

DONATIONS: We are so grateful for the generosity of our community.

It is important to note these clothes will be going to people in our community to help them feel validated and safe in their identity and clothing.

Unfortunately have been having to throw out so much due to the condition of clothing brought in.

We do ask people only donate one bag at a time and that the clothing given is in like new condition.

All donations are received at open hours only. Please do NOT leave in front of door or at any of the businesses in the building! We do not accept children's clothing or house hold items or bedding.

VOLUNTEER: We are always seeking volunteers to help us open the closet and sort clothing.

To volunteer sign up through this app here:

We will be notified when you sign up for a shift and then we can coordinate further. We will have someone meet you at the Closet on your shift to train you the first time and the protocols will always be available on site as well! We couldn't do this without you! Please let me know if you have any difficulty with signing up or any further questions.
